Our Philosophy
At ApexReach, we have a business philosophy that has guided us throughout our journey, and allowed us to grow businesses at an unparalleled rate.
Fundamentally, every business is the same.
The Theory of Business
Fundamentally, every business is the same.
Every business consists of two parts: the special and the general.
The Special
Your special is what you provide. It’s simply how good your product or service is. This differs from business to business, depending on what field you’re in.
A clothing brand’s special is its clothing. An IT company’s special is its IT services. A special is simply, what you do. At ApexReach, our special is growing businesses.
The General
The general, is everything else in the business. The general is the very structure and nature of a business. It’s similar with all businesses, since the general is the foundation of a business, the building blocks.
Every business, at its core, is fundamentally the same. And this becomes even more apparent at scale. Businesses at scale all have a sales team, an IT team, a marketing team, an operations team, a finance management team, etc..
No matter what field a business operates in, or what service/product they provide, the process is generally the same. There are some differences between service and product businesses, but fundamentally, they’re very similar.
Parts of a Business
The majority of the parts of a business are general.
Business Model: margins, efficiency, metrics, pricing, etc..
Funnel: from traffic to customer
Team: employees, management, hierarchies, training, recruiting, etc..
Marketing: brand, offer, positioning, social media, website, etc..
Traffic: advertising, content creation, SEO, etc..
Conversions: automations, workflows, conversion mechanisms, landing pages, CRO, etc..
Sales: sales team, scripts, sales process, etc..
Operations: management, planning, SOP’s, etc..
IT: software, systems, databases, etc..
The Reality of Businesses
The Entrepreneurs’ Struggle
Most businesses struggle with one main thing: business.
Picture this:
An entrepreneur, who’s devoted to his craft, hardworking and diligent is running his business. He has a great product/service, but despite that, he gets stuck. He knows he can offer something better than his competitors, but for some reason, they always seem to be ahead of him. His product is great, he knows he can offer real value to people, but his progress is stunted.
Good at Business
This is why you see famous CEO’s and other high-placed management operatives switch from one field to another. Because at scale, all businesses are the same, and the businesses need one thing: a leader who’s good at business. The rest of the team, already has the special taken care of. The constraint of most businesses at scale, isn’t their product or service. Dialing in your special is an early-stage thing. And then, the rest is simply scaling and business knowledge.
Why Us?
Our business has a funny and unique quirk: our special and our general are very similar.
Since our special is to grow businesses, we have to be good at growing businesses. Not only growing our own business, but growing any business that works with us.
So, if you want to be able to focus on your special, and bring a maximum of value to your market, while also improving every aspect of your business, scaling and growing, making more money than you’d ever think you would, then this partnership would be perfect for you.
The Problem
Like many businesses, they have the special, but are sorely lacking in the general. They’re good at what they do, they’re simply not good at business.
And it’s not their fault. Most businesses start off with their product or service itself. That’s what they know, it’s their area of expertise, and they simply decided to make a business around it. They learned about their special, they practiced and improved. They have experience with it. But that’s not the case with business. They may have learned about their craft, but they never learned how to do business. They never learned about the theory, the ins and outs of how a business fundamentally works, the parts of a business, and the market.
How do they scale?
So you’re probably wondering, how do businesses scale? How do businesses become successful?
If the majority of businesses aren’t good at business, does that mean they’re not successful? Yes, the majority of businesses are nowhere near the success they’d like to achieve. Depending on their level, they usually get far enough to sustain themselves, but they all eventually hit a plateau, and stagnate. So then, who are the businesses that succeed?
The businesses that succeed, are either those with leaders who have learned about business, and improved their skill of business through years of expertise, or those who have gotten outside help. Mostly, it’s the second one. This is why many successful businesses have consulting partners and get outside help. Even the highest level business have consultants. It’s the best and simplest way to grow.
